Converge

Fall 2018 Session

You were not created to do life alone, so you’re invited to Converge. Converge is all about helping you connect with God, connect with others, and connect with needs.

Every Wednesday night people gather at 6:30 pm in groups to learn about God, others, and themselves and how to live out their faith daily.

Connect Group offerings include occasional "Super Series" large group time that focus on taking a deeper look at the previous Sunday's message.  As well as other groups designed to study specific topic. A list of those offerings can be found below.

A Connect Group is a small group of people from all different backgrounds. Connect groups provide a safe place to share your thoughts, questions, experiences, and doubts regarding your faith journey, while building relationships in the Crossroads family.

If you’ve been coming to Sunday worship and are wondering what your next step is, you’ve found it. We really believe that taking the step to join a Connect Group is a decision you’ll be glad you made.

If you would like to join one of our Connect groups, use the sign up form at the bottom of the page!

CONNECT GROUPS:

Starting Point

This will be a class that will increase your knowledge of some of the basics of living a Christian life and help answer any questions you have as you continue your journey through faith. It will help to develop you as a person in Christ and even more importantly, it will help you to learn how to use the tools that God has given us to develop and strengthen your personal relationship with Him. We will go through different studies and scriptures of the Bible to help you understand what God has in store for your lives and how to live it, and we will develop your skills in being able to take your new life and share it with others.

Extension

Extension is a class that works through the daily readings assigned to correspond with the message on Sunday.   Extension is open for anybody at anytime.

Parental Guidance Required for Parenting

Of all the assignments God will give you during your time on earth, none may be more sacred than the task of raising your children. Parental Guidance Required Study Guide is designed to give you the counsel you need to help prepare your children for the future. Intended for use in personal study or in small groups, this six-session companion study guide to the Parental Guidance Required DVD is a practical resource that will encourage you to look at the relationships in your children’s lives and ask the important questions: Am I developing a quality relationship with my child that will go the distance? Am I striving to control the influence that friends have in my child’s life? Am I nurturing a healthy eternal perspective that will help my child to weather the storms of life?

Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage

Join us as Pastor Mark Gungor explores the underlying dynamics of male/female relationships, combining striking clarity and practical solutions to common relationship woes. Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage isn't your typical weekend marriage seminar. Mark's entertaining illustrations are so hilarious and original, you'll be sharing them with all your friends.

Lord Changed my Attitude

What does God think about attitudes? This study uses examples from the Israelites journey out of Egypt to show how attitudes can affect whether someone stays in the wilderness or enjoys the blessings of the Promised Land.  There is hope for the attitudinally challenged.  This course is 11 sessions long.

True Spirituality

Christians today live in a world that is activity heavy and relationship light. The result is spiritual emptiness. We struggle to know what God wants from us and for us . . . and we’re unsure what a real relationship with God really looks like. But that was never God’s idea. HIS idea of faith is not about rules or religion— it’s about relationship. That’s where God tells us to start. In Romans 12, God gives us a clear picture of what Christians should look like at the root level. If you’re ready to move from “in” to “all in,” then you’re ready to become a Romans 12 Christian. The next steps of your journey toward true spirituality start here.

Digging Deeper

Digging Deeper is a small group Bible study where you can connect with other believers in fellowship and grow in understanding of the Bible. To Live is Christ, To Die is Gain is a 12 week study in Philippians where Paul introduces three individuals that were all enslaved by the kind of things we often choose over the gospel. In this, one of Paul's most intimate letters, author Matt Chandler paints a beautiful picture of what maturity in Christ truly looks like. By choosing Christ as our Savior, we have ongoing freedom to pursue a godly life, freedom to seek and develop spiritual maturity, and freedom to access all that the Holy Spirit offers to believers.

Reframing Foster Care

This study, Reframing Foster Care, by Jason Johnson is designed to help you find hope in Gods capacity to work through you in this foster care journey.  This study is for those already fostering, as well as those who are considering beginning the journey in foster care.

Women's Study: Crazy Love

Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts—it's falling in love with God. In Crazy Love, Francis Chan peels back what we think the Christian life is, and guides us down the path toward an uncommon intimacy with Jesus—an intimacy which can’t help but change the world around us!
